Pokémon Showdown allows users to customize their settings to their own preference. This guide may also contain sections that help veterans of the site understand aspects of the program as well. The aim of this guide is to explain to new users to the way in which Pokémon Showdown operates and integrate said users into the community as a whole. Pokémon Showdown was designed to simulate the conditions of Wi-Fi Pokemon games in a more stable environment, which creates a more efficient method in which to be involved in the competitive Pokemon setting. Pokémon Showdown is a web-based project available on all major browsers. It was created by Zarel and opened in October of 2011, but it was not until Jthat it was adopted as Smogon's official battle simulator. Pokémon Showdown, often formatted as Pokémon Showdown!, is a popular competitive Pokemon simulator. Even if you can't evolve your Pokémon into a Magnezone until a bit later, Magneton is a powerful little zappy friend.Use Control + F or Command + F to search for a specific heading. It only has three weaknesses, all of which are covered by the rest of your team twice. This adorable floating UFO hits like a truck and resists a ton of types. Make sure to get one with Huge Power to increase its attack. Fairy type wasn't around the first time people visited Sinnoh, so now is Azumarill's time to shine. AzumarillĪzumarill won't be available until a bit later in the game, but it will come in extremely handy when you start facing Dragon types. You'll need to be able to use Strength as well, which requires you to beat the Canalave gym leader. To get one, you'll have to enter the secret entrance of the Wayward Cave underneath Cycling Road on Route 206. Garchomp is another heavy hitter that veterans of Sinnoh games will recognize. This lowers that attack of your opponents when you switch Staraptor in or start a battle with it. Startaptor also makes a good lead when it has the Intimidate ability. Close Combat is a powerful fighting move, and Brave Bird packs a wallop, though you'll have to watch out for recoil damage. What's a good Pokémon team without a "route one bird?" You can catch a Starly early on in Brilliant Diamond or Shining Pearl and watch it grow into a speedy Staraptor. It also learns Leech Seed, Toxic, and Toxic Spikes if you prefer to play a stall set. Roserade has a massive special attack stat and is relatively quick. Roserade, which evolves from Roselia, resists ground types that threaten Infernape and is super effective against water and rock, both of which are good against Infernape. This move can build momentum quickly and is a great way to increase your attack in battles. Don't sleep on Power-Up punch, which it learns early on. Infernape can learn powerful moves like Close Combat, and it even has a priority move with Mach Punch. It's a mixed attacker, meaning you can use both physical and special attacks. Infernape, which is the final form of Chimchar, is an easy starter to train. If you train these six Pokémon, you should be able to make your way through the story and defeat the Elite 4. There are more than six Pokémon that can carry you through Sinnoh, but here's a dream team that should make things easier.
